Festa a mare agli scogli di Sant’Anna (Sea Festival on the Rocks of St. Anna)
Every year - since 1932 - on the evening of 26 July, we celebrate the "Sea Festival on the Rocks of Sant'Anna" in the Bay of Cartaromana. The festival focuses on a float competition, made by the municipalities on the island, driven and paraded along the sea front among lights, music and song under the eyes of the jury that decides the winner. The festival ends with an impressive firework display that has its most striking moment in the simulation of the Aragonese Castle's fire, in memory of the cannonade by the British in the early 1800s.
For over 20 years, the Ischia Barche Cooperative has been entrusted with the task of handling the floats and setting up the maritime space for the festival in the Bay of Cartaromana.
